If he knew WHAT he would have been remembered for, he probably would have chosen the old man path...
Maybe not. It's not like getting shot in the heel is embarrassing. He was a proud warrior right? Your feet are important for a lot of reasons. So being known only losing because someone capped your leg isnt embarrassing. I'd go for either choice really if I was a proud warrior.
