Without the internet and only my brain...

The Oracle of Delphi told either a Hero like Achilles or maybe Heracles or Apollo the sun godling...

That love and such are feelings that will weaken or kill them.

Pretty Sure at Least about the Oracle of Delphi part...lol!

It was Achilles. And it was something along the lines of "Go to this battle and you will die but you will be remembered by the world forever, avoid that battle and you will still die but as an old man remembered only by the your loved ones." If he knew WHAT he would have been remembered for, he probably would have chosen the old man path...

Maybe not. It's not like getting shot in the heel is embarrassing. He was a proud warrior right? Your feet are important for a lot of reasons. So being known only losing because someone capped your leg isnt embarrassing. I'd go for either choice really if I was a proud warrior.
